Refund Policy

When and how egvisas.com issues refunds for Egypt eVisa applications. The government fee and our service fee have different refund rules, both explained here.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how we issue refunds for Egypt eVisa applications processed through egvisas.com. We believe in transparency: we want you to know exactly what is refundable and what is not before you pay.

Because the Egypt eVisa is a government-issued document, the money you pay covers two distinct components, and each has different refund rules. Section 2 explains the fee structure; the remaining sections cover specific scenarios.

2. Understanding our fee structure

Your total checkout price has two parts:

3. Cancellation before processing

If you cancel before our team begins processing your application, we will refund the full amount (both the government fee and the service fee). Processing typically begins within a few hours of payment during business hours, but it can take longer for orders placed late at night or on weekends.

To request a pre-processing cancellation, email inq@egvisas.com immediately after payment with your order number in the subject line.

4. Cancellation after submission

Once your application has been submitted to the Egyptian eVisa portal, the government visa fee is non-refundable. We can refund the egvisas.com service fee in the following situations:

  • You decide to cancel your trip before the visa is approved.

  • You have not yet received an outcome (approval or rejection) and you wish to withdraw the application.

To request a partial refund, email inq@egvisas.com with your order number. We will confirm the refund amount (service fee only) within 2 business days.

5. Visa approval: no refund

Once your Egypt eVisa has been issued by the Egyptian government and delivered to you by email, the service is considered complete and no refund is available. This applies regardless of whether you ultimately use the visa, travel to Egypt, or your travel plans change after approval.

6. Duplicate payments

If you accidentally paid twice for the same application (e.g., a network glitch caused a duplicate charge), we will refund the duplicate payment in full upon verification. Email inq@egvisas.com with your order numbers and we will resolve this within 3 business days.

7. System errors

If a documented error on our end (an incorrect form field, a missed deadline due to our processing delay, or any other mistake clearly attributable to our team) causes your application to be rejected, we will refund the full service fee. We are not able to refund the government fee even in this case, because once submitted, the government has charged for the application processing regardless of outcome.

8. Non-refundable scenarios

The following are NOT eligible for any refund:

  • Visa rejection by Egyptian immigration authorities due to factors unrelated to our processing (travel history, security review, document inconsistencies between what you supplied and your actual circumstances, etc.).

  • Denial of entry at an Egyptian port of arrival, even with a valid eVisa.

  • Incorrect or false information you provided that led to rejection.

  • Failure to read or follow eligibility requirements available on our website before applying.

  • Change of mind after the eVisa has been issued.

  • Missed flights or cancelled travel plans after eVisa issuance.

  • Disputes filed more than 60 days after the original transaction.

9. Refund processing timeline

Once a refund is approved:

  • Card refunds: processed within 3 to 5 business days. Your bank may take an additional 2 to 10 business days to credit your account.

  • Apple Pay / Google Pay: typically 3 to 5 business days; the refund appears on the original card used in your wallet.

  • UnionPay: 5 to 10 business days, depending on your issuing bank.

Refunds are always issued to the original payment method. We do not issue refunds to alternative cards or accounts.

10. How to request a refund

Email inq@egvisas.com with the following information:

  • Your order number (from your confirmation email)

  • The full name and email used on the order

  • The reason for the refund request

  • Any supporting documentation if applicable (e.g., proof of duplicate charge, evidence of a documented error)

Use the subject line "Refund request, order #XXXX" for fastest routing. Our team responds within 1 business day during operating hours.

11. Disputes

If you disagree with our decision on a refund request, you may:

  • Escalate by replying to your refund-decision email and requesting a senior review.

  • Initiate a chargeback through your card issuer, though we ask that you contact us first to resolve the issue directly. We respond to all legitimate chargeback inquiries with documentation.

Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in a permanent ban from using our service in the future.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply to applications submitted after the effective date of the update. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
